Trust me. The cruise excursions are three-times too expensive. You can do any excursion on your own as you get on-shore. In Puerto Vallarta I recommend the Jungle tour where Arnold S. filmed the Predator, then to Mismalaya Beach, or the Citytour. In Mazatlan you should dine at Senior Frogs and dance on the tables. The other cruise lines in port will be wishing they were on the gay cruise. We're so much more fun! Definitely plan to go to the tea dance at the private seaside club in Mazatlan! Cabo is so different than PV and Matatlan. It's like a Palm Springs by the Sea. Any city tour is fine or just dine and party at Cabo Wabo, owned by Eddie Van Halen. There are some fun water-related sports in Cabo.

PV: blue chairs. maybe parasailing. Maz: tea @ Valentino's (it's the only show in town--ever!) Cabo: get off the tender, and walk down the dock. you'll get approached by men offering to take you in a water taxi to Land's End &/or Lover's Beach. you want to do both. don't take the first offer, but the larger your group, the more likely the price will come down; if memory serves me right, this should be about $12 roundtrip. they will want all the money upfront, & should give you a receipt for your return (but each taxi operator may do things a bit differently). it's best to find one that has multiple boats, some have a glassbottom if you like that kinda thing. after getting near the rocks of Land's End, you will be taken to the Gulfside beach, where you have to jumpoff into the waist-high water. remember the name of the boat(s) and taxi driver (write these down if you are apt to forget). you & he will agree on a pickup time (this may not mean much since they are on "mexican time"). if the sun is beating down, you may only want to stay 2 or 3 hours (All Aboard is at 1:30 that day, so have a watch with you, & make sure it's set to ship's time!) walk over to the Oceanside and brave the wild surf if you dare. explore the rocks & cavelike features, both on the near- and far-sides of the oceanbeach. when you're ready to leave, walk back to the Gulfside & enjoy the calm water there, (and the chaos all the other cruiselines' passengers are making). take out your snokeling equipment if you have time. otherwise, jump back in your boat, but you may have to wait for the next time he comes back if there are too many people. be patient...this process can take a half hour. there are no facilities. bring your camera in a waterproof bag, towel, footware, hat, sunscreen, water! & whatever else you may want to eat or drink. OR...you can WALK over to Lover's Beach--i've never done that yet! the biggest problem i'd have with that this cruise is that we have limited time in port. the early All Aboard sucks for me (since i'm not a morning person, i'm lucky to get off the ship by noon). so without the afternoon to get lost walking to & from the beach, i don't think i'll risk it this time.

Puerta Vallarta... I may swim with the manatees. I have reserved 2 spaces on this excursion but am not positive I will go. I'm afraid other tourists may try to take their picture with me.. So I may just go wander the town, I love Puerta Vallarta, go there all the time. Mazalatan... Probably going to take the excursion to the Lighthouse. I have reserved 2 spaces. If you need a spot, let me know. Cabo... I will probably lead an expidition to the Arches and Lovers Beach. If you want to tag along, let me know.

None. Done them all before. I'm going to enjoy a restaurant in PV in the hills, then listen to jazz at the Bistro Cafe along the River Cuale, . Senior Frogs and the tea dance in Matzatlan. A must for First time Cruisers. Eat a hearty lunch, drink the Coronona's and prepare to dance on the tables. (Poles) not included...LOL. Just taking it easy in Cabo. Dining at Cabo Wabo.

I'm a late comer - Have to wait til we sail before I can register for any of the excursions. But I understand that they sell out quickly. No problem - If I can't make any of the on land excursions, I'm sure I can organize some 'activities' on board.
