Lazy Bear Cruise - Out to Sea
Go to the official website...

Abelardo...Just relax and have fun! AJ & Mike... Alan...For first time cruise passengers, I would simply say to relax, don't be anxious about what to expect, i.e. the boarding process, luggage, navigating around the ship, or anything else on board.

The whole cruise experience is very easy. Once on board, you'll get your sea legs very quickly and everything will go smoothly! You'll get your luggage, you'll learn the layout of the ship very quickly, and YOU WILL HAVE AN INCREDIBLE TIME if you put yourself in the mindset to do so.

Remember, occasionally minor hiccups happen on every vacation. Don't let some minor thing negatively impact what will be an extraordinary experience.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Peace, and Bon voyage!

Alex & Dave... Alex & Eduard... Alfonso & Scott... Allen & Harry...Get a prescription for the sea sick patch, it just may come in handy. Not everybody needs it but it's definetly a good precaution.
Andrew...my experience on an 11 day cruise to alaska was 50% really good, 25% fantastically great, and 25% weird sh-t...

here's a few things i learned -- just my experience -- yours may be very different...

soft drinks: the cruise line will sell you a sticker on the first day that gets you unlimited refills of soft drinks (coke, 7-up)... this costs $20 - $30 USD. it's a great bargain and gives you a handy mixer for that whiskey or rum you brought with you...

lines/queues: a cruise ship is a floating hotel with 2,700 guests... it's not possible for everyone to be served at once... there are sometimes lines to get into the dining room, get off the ship for day trips, etc... nothing you can do about 'em except expect them and use the time to chat with other passengers.

sleep 'til noon? as far as i can tell, cabin stewards work 8-noon, 4 hours off, then 4-8 p.m. if you want to sleep 'til noon, set the sign in the cabin door to
Baker...Get your costumes done early. Don't forget your door decorations! Barry & Paul... Bear Hag...I'm the gay cruise virgin. You should be offering me some advice. BEN... Bill...Forego your sleep and take in every possible activity there is. You can rest the remainder of the year.

Don't buy the cruise excursions. They're highly overpriced, but buy buy buy all the pictures they take! They'll provide years of delightful memories.

Be bold and confident! Meet new people and take a chance to have fun and maybe meet someone and be loved or have sex. I know a couple who met on a RSVP 7 years ago. Bill Johnson... Bill Matchette... Bo...
Bobby...Have fun and don't fall off -- so many of us from Ohio keep swimming with the fishes.

Go with the flow and enjoy it all -- don't take things too serious and have fun. Bourne... brad ford sparks... Brian...Relax...let it go...eat as much as you want...nap often...stay up late. The inner cabins are GREAT, because you can shut your door, turn out the lights, and it's a CAVE!!! Really nice when you want to nap at 2PM Brian... Brit... Bryan O... Buck...
Buck n' Jeff...Bring a coffee maker if you want decent coffee... Princess coffee is awful. Bud... capy... Carl... Carl...A tip for first time cruisers/event people - focus on the men - it is too easy to be in awe of so many in one space that you forget to focus and end up missing opportunities... Carl... Carl & Len... Carlos Gonzalez...You can sleep when you die. Opt to enjoy the parties instead of getting too much sleep.

Guess what? There will plenty of food there tomorrow so don't eat too much today. (Si Habla Espanol)
Charlie... Chris... Chris... Chris... Chris... Chris... Chris & Allan... Chris & Jon...Get there early and get to know the ship. This is a pretty big vessel. WOOT!

Get to know people ahead of time via the internet. Seven days at sea just aren't enough. Don't waste the first few days on board finding out the basics of someone when you could be doing that NOW!

Call you travel agent and find out the name of your share-mate, if you are in the program. That guy just may be on this website. If your travel agent doesn't know, try booking an excursion, and that will likely show you the names in your cabin.

If you get motion sickness at all, pick up the magnetic bracelets at the drug store. Taking Dramamine will only make you WOOZY, and you won't be able to drink at the many bars on the ship.

Take at least one themed outfit for the parties. You won't regret having something fun to wear on this cruise.
Chris Kingery... Christopher... Clint & Marcello... Craig... Craig & Vance... Craig and George... Curtis and Paul... Daddy Bear Mike...

David... David & David... Dennis n' Tom... Denny...Apparently there are lots of themed parties, and if you don't bring the right theme clothing you'll feel out of place...so make sure you find out what the party themes are so you can be prepared. :) Des Westhead... they can be lots of fun!!
Greg... Gregg...enjoy, since you pay for your alcohol consumption, it can add up quickly. at the end of the cruise you could be handed a substantial bill, as some of my friends did, staying coctailed much of the cruise, and a $1000 tab. (Mine was far less...LOL) hairyguylkn... Ian & DJ Matt Consola...Do a Costco run and bring your own liquor on board in your carry-on. Helps cut down on the 1-2K bar bills. Pace yourself and don't even try to do everything. Relax. Bring fierce costumes for Drag Nite and Halloween. Lame costumes will get you thrown overboard (or at least into the pool). We are serious costume people (-: J.C. & Alan... Jack...Cruise Virgin remember? Jay... Jeff...
Jeff...This will be my 3rd cruise, but my first all gay one.......Beds are not that comfortable...bring a foam/visco pad to get some level of comfort. JEFF... Jeff...With 7 RSVP cruises and 3 straight cruises under my belt, I've been around enough to know that you can have all the fun or all the quiet you like. To each his own. It's all good! Jeff & Dennis... Jeff & Jeff... Jeff & Philip...No advice. Just go with the flow!

Pace yourself!

Check yerself for critters BEFORE you come on board, dammit! :) Jeff and Dave... Jerry...
Jim... Jim...Make sure you go to see Amy and Freddie. They put on a incredible show. Go early too, the seats fiull up fast Jim... Jim & Joe... Jim & Steve...The Costume parties are a lot of fun, start planning early. Also will be a tropical climate and the parties usually become all night dances. So think cool.

Bring decorations for your room door. It is steel so magnets work great. Makes it easier to find down a long hall of like doors at the wee hours of the morning. Also gives you a chance to be creative and tell people something about ya.

Also bring a flag to fly on your balcony if you have a balcony room while in port. Is cool to show your colors and be able to identify your room from the port. State flag, city flay, pride flag or fetish flag. You can tie it to the railing or use jumbo grip clamps. Jim Touchstone...Read what others have written...There is plenty of good advice already on this site! Joe... Joe & Raynee...

Bring a camera!! Steven... Steven... TED... Ted...Early dinner is a great thing. So many people like late seating but I just do not like food just sitting in my stomach while I watch the second seating show or just eating and then going to a big dance party. Tim... Tim & Shannon... Tim and Ron... Todd... Todd... Todd... Tom... Tom...
Top Dad Mike...Take a CD player with speakers and your favorite selections; the music on the TV will bore you before you even unpack. If you’re flying in, consider packing several items into 1 gal. Ziplock bags, kneeling on it to get the air out, and adding to suitcase. If you’re driving to the boat and taking more clothes than you’ll ever need
(but some guys do change “outfits” three times a day, I swear, and look ironed and fresh to the very last full day of the cruise) consider using “nesting” suitcases. They will go under the bed or might be given you your cabin attendant. As you pack, check out the weather in Mazatlan to get a feel of the temperatures: http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/MXSA0084.html Also, if you don’t travel that much, you might want to call your credit card company and tell them you’ll be in Mexico to avoid authorization problems when you find that perfect sombrero. Too many guys in your cabin’s bathroom? Consider using the shower facilities in the gym. That’s what the bathrobes are for. And, oh, yes, on each RSVP cruise the Captain makes a joke that he’s never seen SO MUCH luggage! The truth is they don’t have the personnel to get all that luggage on the ship in a timely manner, much less to your cabin for hours. I’ve met guys who were still awaiting luggage delivery at 10:30pm! Solution? Carry on a carry-on with what you will need immediately. Also, it’s a good idea to put a copy of your passport picture page in each piece of luggage just in case those little tags come off. Last of all, take a bunch of US $1’s, 5’s, 10’s, and 20’s to spend in Mexico. Using big bills will get you only pesos back; everyone takes US dollars. And you should know that if you like the convenience of wearing a lanyard like I am wearing in my pic with your cabin key/charge card, knowing that it's one less thing to lose (ships eat things!), bring your own; the main desk will punch a hole in the right place. Trey & Jim... Troy...Bring a hat and sunglasses for shade. Don't forget to buy a cheap underwater camera!

Ty... VaCouple... Victor & Tony... Vince... vince...relax and enjoy
Vince...Bring plenty of sunscreen. Better to tan slow and deep, than fast and BURN!
For those that don't drink, like me... a Soda Card sounds like a great value. Wade... Wally...a cruise is what you make of it, so only you can determine if you enjoy it or not, so do your best to enjoy it Will...I am thinking go on a Gay Cruise. LOL Xavier...
